As the name suggests, the Quadrant Mini is an adaptation of the original Quadrant Skirt, a shorter length version originally released for SS25/26 that is back for RS27.
With the same variegated asymmetrical handkerchief hem the original was praised for upon its release for AW25, this new version is a flirty length perfect for Summer.
Made from 100% cotton in a striped fabric of white and varying shades of blue, the angular handkerchief hem of the Quadrant Mini Skirt is accentuated by the changing direction of the lines across each panel.
The sturdy cotton manifests in jagged panels that shoot out from the hip towards the floor like asymmetric godets.
A fluorescent pink drawstring dances along the waistband of the skirt, finished with silver metal eyelets and cord ends.
This skirt is flexible in fit, with an invisible zip in seam for ease of dressing and a drawstring for adjustability.

The Discord Top is an asymmetric blouse with scattered dart lines which sweep across the chest and down to the front hem to form unexpectedly elegant contours.
This silhouette was born from the ‘Shoulders’ piece from Parallel Frames, the absurd sculpture series that Kate developed to drape and design the collection on.
Rendered in our hyperfloral cotton and cotton voile lining, the Discord top is a practical and breathable option for an array of summer activities.
A dainty 100% river stripe cotton adjustable strap loops around one shoulder and can be gathered at the underarm to your liking, while on the other side, a thicker strap traces down the back into a curving panel, meeting the other panel to form a triangular dip across the upper back.
The front hem dances just below the belly button, making it a perfect match for some of our low-waisted styles from RS27, such as the Ripple Skirt.
At the back, the handkerchief-style hem flows down asymmetrically, drawing the eye diagonally.

Parallel Frames brings together two key pillars of KATALYST —conceptual sculpture and ready-to-wear garments — positioning them in conversation and allowing each practice to inform the other. Our RS27 collection, Parallel Frames is a result of this dialogue.
Parallel Frames distorts the traditional mannequin silhouette to explore how the use of standardised body shapes in design affects our perception of the normative body. Three abstract forms reminiscent of bodily shapes were made from wire and fabric offcuts and became dress forms that were draped upon to develop RTW styles. The design process for each garment begins here, and was then fitted on the human body and adjusted, going back and forth in a conversation between constructed forms and natural ones.
This KATALYST favourite is light weight, versatile, textural and comfortable - and is now available in its latest hypercolour iteration for RS27.
Meandering lines of elastic comfortably shape the body and create a bubbling texture with gathered frills at each hem. Breathable and forgiving in fit, this piece is super adaptable. It can be worn as a skirt or strapless bodice.
For extra adjustability, this piece is accented with a lemon drawstring and silver eyelets.
Made from a crisp and super lightweight cotton in brilliant fuchsia, it responds beautifully to the gathers and folds of this style. Lines of lemon yellow elastic stitching accent the top’s abstract design lines throughout.

The Undercurrent Pants in Cocoa Twill are KATALYST’s summer solution to a sturdy pant.
Each season, Kate works to develop a reliable, flattering, and comfortable pant silhouette which serves both the season and the wearer.
The Undercurrent Pants are a remix of the Windcatcher Pant from SS25/26. Both styles are a unisex fit and feature a hyper-adjustable waistband making them size-adaptive.
This silhouette is informed by the ‘Legs’ piece from Parallel Frames, the absurd sculpture series that Kate developed to drape and design the collection on. The darts that form the silhouette of the leg taper it in at the side to create the curved shape and the diagonal dart that swoops down from the waist where the side packets are inserted into.
The 100% tencel twill main fabric is breathable and light- making them summer-friendly.
This season’s offering showcases front seams cutting down the front and back of the leg, and top-stitched pockets at the back.
Metal waist adjusters at the front and back draw the eye to the waistband which is enveloped by panels on either side that curve under towards the side seams.
A balloon-style hem creates an emphasised leg silhouette.
